SABOR! Practical History of Poetic Rhythm (in Spanish)
Instructor: Ezequiel Zaidenwerg (Argentina)
October 5th and 19th: 5 – 7 pm
In this two-session workshop we will study – without claims of theoretical exhaustiveness – the rhythmic history of our language. Once we have drawn a minimum panorama, we will focus on incorporating, through practical exercises in writing, translation and improvisation, the resources related to popular music and rhythm – mainly metric and rhyme, but also the anaphora and alliteration – as well as some of the best known traditional forms, such as romance, the décima and the sonnet.
